Investigations on plasma parameters of diaphragm discharge plasma based on optical emission spectroscopy

Abstract As a plasma-based method, diaphragm discharge plasma, an underwater discharge, exhibits relatively high production rate and efficiency of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O ). This study aimed to characterize the energetic state plasma H mechanism by optical emission spectroscopy, evaluating excitation temperature, gas electron density, their temporal variations. The temperature was approximately 3000 K, which also presumed almost coincide with in plasma. 2500 density 6 × 10 22 m −3 at maximum. sustained higher values under condition better performance, whereas other two parameters exhibited no difference variation. reaction calculation based on observation results indicated that thermal dissociation is more crucial path for our than expected.
